Padeuce

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

Padeuce is built by productive.me, based in Cape Town, South Africa. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to keep it plain and specific rather than covering every hypothetical.

1. What we collect

Match data

When you start a match, we store the player names you type, the score as you enter it point by point, the ruleset you picked, and the approximate GPS location of the match (used only to show nearby live matches on the public score page). Match data is linked to a random match ID, not to any account.

Email address

The app asks for your email address on first launch. This is optional — you can skip it. If you provide it, we store it and use it to send product updates. We do not sell it or share it with third parties.

Newsletter sign-ups

If you sign up on padeuce.com, we store your email address for the same purpose as above.

Club accounts

If you register a club, we store the club name, contact email, and the court names you configure. Club accounts are authenticated via magic-link email — we do not store passwords.

Location

The app requests approximate location when you start a match. We store a low-precision coordinate (roughly 1–5 km accuracy) alongside the match so it can appear on the nearby matches map. We do not track your location at any other time or in the background.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect your phone contacts, camera roll, or any data unrelated to padel scoring.
  • We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
  • We do not build behavioural profiles or sell data.
  • We do not use cookies for tracking on padeuce.com. The site uses a session cookie only for club admin authentication.

2. How we use it

  • Match data — to show the live score to spectators via the share link, and to display the match on the nearby matches page.
  • Email addresses — to send product updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Location — to place the match on the nearby matches map. Nothing else.
  • Club data — to operate the club dashboard, generate QR codes, and link matches to courts.

3. Who can see your match

Live match scores are public by default — anyone with the share link can view the score in their browser. Player names you enter in the app are visible on that page. If you do not want a match to be publicly accessible, do not share the link.

Matches also appear on the nearby matches page (padeuce.com/score) with player names and the approximate location. If you would prefer a match not to appear there, contact us and we will remove it.

4. Data storage

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted in the EU. We use Redis (also EU-hosted) as a short-lived cache for venue names fetched from a reverse-geocoding service. We do not transfer personal data outside the EU except as required to send email (via Mailgun, whose servers may process data in the US).

5. Retention

We do not have a fixed deletion schedule yet — this is something we are building out. If you want your data deleted (email address, match records, or club account), email us and we will do it within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, notify users by email. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
